A good solid phone that stands out (Sony Ericsson F305)

Advantages: Looks great, sounds great, does the job with little fuss

Disadvantages: Not a smartphone, nothing new, small screen

To start with, this phone is different to look at than your average phone. Its glossy white finish makes it stand out from the pack, and personally makes it look fresh and rather interesting compared to most. It has a nice smooth sliding motion and there are not really any grooves for dust and dirt to get trapped in, keeping this movement free and easy. Beyond the slide there is a nice smoothl glossy keypad, and all in one that is well spaced, easy to navigate and firm, unlike a lot of these type of keypads. The main buttons on the front are all very firm and solid, and nicely spaced. Note there are a couple of 'gaming' buttons to be found at the top of the screen. On the side of the phone you will find the camera and volume buttons.

There are two slots on the phone, the main one for the charger/earphones etc, in a typical Sony Ericsson style, and on the top of the phone is the slot for the Sony M2 memory card.

Using the phone itself is pretty straighforward. It has a typical Sony Ericsson style menu and button system, and although there is nothing particularly that stands out about this, this is easy to use and familiar to many. The main programs and applications are available, Bluetooth, musica player, videoplayer (Realplayer), camera, internet, radio and games, as well as the usual calendar and calculator and similar media applications.

The phone has a 2 mega-pixel camera, which is also able to be used on some of the pre-packed games, as a motion sensor to detect movement.

Overall this is a good solid phone, and I would say it is above average, relatively good sound as to be expected from Sony, slightly disappointing screen quality and sound, and the usual content.
