Advantages: Does what it says on the tin
Disadvantages: Bit temeramental when charging
First things first, this is not in anyway a phone for people who take their phones seriously. I personally brought this phone because I've fallen out of love of the whole idea of mobiles and needed a phone that can make calls, send texts. The end.
I brought the phone with a SIM for next to nothing, and frankly, it's brilliant. If you're looking for a no-frills phone that will last the distance, then this is the one for you. I coudl go into length about how I hate the fact that we've been pursuaded into thinking that a phone without a decent camera, MP3 player ets is in some way inferior, but lets get some perspective.
The candy bar style is consumate, nice sized keys which are responsive. A clear (albeit VGA) display. The screen icons are well presented and the text function is fine (it can be poorly programmed on cheap mobiles). There's a couple of games in there that will keep you amused for a few minutes on a train journey as well.
Not tried the internet function so I can't comment, and there's a couple of okay themes etc to personalise the appearance.
Battery life is fine, although it does get a bit scatty when you let the battery rund down and try to switch it back on when recharging it. Call volume and ring level are fine and there's a few ring tones in there if a plain ring isn't your thing.
All in all, a great cheap mobile for people who aren't bothered about making a statement with their phone.
It's just a phone after all right?
Summary: A phone for people who want a phone to call people.
