Advantages: camera/video-mp3 player-very reliable-easy to find your way around

Disadvantages: buttons are to small-not enough memory

The Sony Ericsson K300i is by far the most reliable phone I have ever owned. It survived through 3 washes in the washing machine, being dropped in the sea and even being hit with a tennis raquet (accidentally). There are many plus points to the k300i, just to start off. There is a brilliant range of features for a good price. The camera takes ok photos for the money you pay for it. And finally the k300i comes loaded with an mp3 player and plenty of games. The only dropback in my opinion was that the buttons are way to small. There about 3.4/4 mm height wise.

Lets start off with the features. As you would expect from this robust phone, everything works perfectly. Even all of the features on mine worked fine after what it was put through.

I did however think that the mp3 player was very useless. Judging by the fact that the phone only has enough room for one song. Why do you need an mp3 player? From experience, I can tell you that it is very hard to get a data cable that works, and even then, there are no memory card slots. So unless you're complete music library has 1 song, then you're stuffed for music.

When I bought this phone with Tesco mobile, I was very pleased with the range of games that came pre loaded. Normally, networks don't bother with the games and let you buy them your selves. Although the k300i came wtih 4/5 games on it. However, the ringtones weren't anything special. Despite the mp3 quality, most of them still sounded a bit average. The k300i does come with a "music DJ" built in, but the results are limited, its hard to make a decent song and it takes forever as well. On the whole the camera function is good. You need to remember though that for £30 you are hardly going to get the latest cybershot camera. The k300i takes photos in VGA quality (jpeg format). At times the quality can be lacking a bit but most of the time the pictures come out ok. Video recording can also be done on the k300i at one click of a button. To take pictures, you only need to press one button on the side of the phone. I found this part very difficult :) jks.

Everything else on the phone is really the same as any other mobile. It calls and texts without any problems, it connects to GPRS (mobile internet). The other advantage is that its small to carry around and not to heavy. In terms of style, I recommend the blue and silver edition, it looks much better in my opinion.

So the main thing is that its reliable, relatively cheap and it has a good range of features.
