A very nice phone (Sony Ericsson K510i)

I got this mobile phone as a birthday present after looking around for a new mobile for a few weeks before hand. Here is my review of the K510i made by Sony Ericsson.

What first attracted me to the K510i was it's nice styling and relatively low price for a phone of it's kind and it being made by Sony Ericcson, one of the best mobile phone makes with a string of highly regarded phones and add ons in the past two or three years.

Like most mobiles nowadays this one has a built in camera which you can take pictures and you can store about 50-60 photos on your phone. It isnt as good as a normal digital camera but it does a good job and you are able to get good quality photos from it. The great thing about these camera phones is that they now have software which lets you upload them to your pc.

Using the built in camera you can also record videos, for instance if you were at the local football ground you could record the play or if you were with your friends you could record each other doing comedy sketches for instance. the quality isnt as good as the pictures you get from the camera but it is still good for a mobile phone.

Also like many other new phones this mobile has an MP3 player which lets you listen to a maximum of about one album. which isnt as good as some other phones but it's good if you are listening to music on a short journey. The performance of the MP3 player is very good as you would expect from something made by Sony. You can buy a clip that allows you to use your proper headphones if you want to listen to it.

The software comes on a cd rom and it is Adobe software which contains things to help with your pictures like storage and receiving them. All you need to do is plug in tyhe usb cable in the port and then install the software and then everytime you connect the cable to your phone a box will come up with options.

The Internet is relatively fast on this phone compared to ther WAP enabled phones and gives you a lot more websites that work than other wap enabled mobile phones.

Music DJ is a music program much like E-Jay where you can make your own tracks using hundreds of bass loops, drum loops, guitar loops and other sounds. You can put these recordings on to your computer and can play them while you are using your computer.

This phone is enabled with Bluetooth, for anyone unsure of Bluetooth it's basically a wireless transfer tool which you can use to send things like pictures and music to friends. For instance if your mate wanted you to send them a photo to their phone, you could send it free if you had both had bluetooth phones. You can also get Bluetooth on some computers and laptops aswell.

Overall I would recommend this mobile to anyone looking for a feature heavy phone for under £100. It is available on all networks at various prices. I have it on Orange for £69.99.
