Advantages: robust, smart looking, great features
Disadvantages: phone keys
This was my second phone and seriously - It served me so well! I used it for at least two years. We paid around £70 for it then but from what I know you can get it for about £50 these days.
The camera is not a rubbish VGA quality - it has a 2 megapixel camera which takes pretty nice pictures. The camera is pretty convenient. Just slide the lens across (that's right it has a lens!!) and you're ready to shoot. It has a zoom feature and flash available for when it's dark. It's a cybershot camera.
A clever manipulation of the flash feature - well because it doesn't flash straight away.. we often turned on the white camera light (My god it's bright!) if we were ever struggling to find something in the dark and didn't have a touch. The camera also has video recording. I found it handy to have these features all on my phone as they were easy to use and I didn't always carry a camera around with me to capture any moments that just cropped up!
By inserting a memory card into the slot, you can store many mp3 tracks on your phone, and listen to them out loud or via the headphones (only sony ones). It also has a radio which I used to tune into local stations.
The storage capacity for the inbox isn't too bad, I personally like to be able to store over 300 messages..because I'm nostalgic like that. haha. I was on pay as you go so I didn't really use the internet much as it wasn't included in my price plan. I did go on facebook quite a lot though which was useful if I wanted to update anything or message my friends.
It has other good features like the calender where I stored my appointments etc, the calculator to add stuff up and the alarms to get me up! The ringtones that come with the phone are quite basic so I'd recommend using your own.
It has a great, robust build. Please don't do this but.. I literally did drop it at least a thousand times (No exaggeration) because I was kind of clumsy or in moments of rage. However, it never really broke.
Once though- the first time I'd got it the screen went blank. It did this a few times so I had to restart it.
Now, the last thing most of my friends had an objection to on this phone was the keys. They're hard to press because they're literally just thin metal lines. I used my nails, and got used to it.
Enjoyyy! Not a bad buy at all :)
Summary: a phone that's lasted me a long time, good value for money
