Advantages: This phone has great quality pictures and quite a good video quality for its price
Disadvantages: The joystick may take a while to get used to, and I have yet to find a way to transfer data to comp
I have had this phone for nearly a year now and it has served me very well! Its combination of both simple and advanced features means that it is suitable for a wide range of people, whether they just want a normal, good quality phone to use for calling and texting, or whether they wanted a hi-tech phone with a lot of nifty features.
The Sony Ericsson K500i has a lot of good and useful features, and they are not hard to use either. Its main attraction is good quality camera pictures and videos, though it also has other handy features such as a calendar, sound recording, an alarm, a stopwatch, WAP, a calculator and a setting that can remind you of tasks to complete.
First I will look at the integrated camera. The K500i enables you to capture both photographs and video clips, and both are great for recording memories. They are simple to use too, all you have to do is press one button! The camera lens has a protective slide on the back of the phone, which has kept the camera in top condition.
This phone is also WAP enabled, meaning you can surf the web wherever you are and have a world of information in your palm at just a small cost. It is also possible to send and receive emails on this phone which is a useful feature for people who are always on the move.
Quality sound recording is possible, and is also an easy feature to use. The wide range of other features I mentioned can also be used to your advantage, and I find the tasks section is particularly useful for anything important I do not want to forget!
Aswell as having all of these features, the K500i is very stylish, with a sleek and quite hard-wearing cover (it still has no scratches on after a year) that sits very comfortably in the palm of your hand. The only disadvantage of the stylish qualities is the joystick which can be quite hard to operate, but I found myself getting over this hill quite quickly.
I am also disappointed to say that I have not yet found a way to transfer data from the phone to a computer, though I have tried a few ways. This may still be possible though.
Summary: This phone is a nifty, useful and stylish one that would suit a range of people across the board.

- 12/12/05 I've contacted Dooyoo to ask them to move this to the right category for you. |

- 11/12/05 Like below... if you e-mail dooyoo (have a look in the Member Centre) they should be able to add the 'i'and move this. In future, suggest the product to dooyoo (on your profile) rather than putting it in the wrong place. D :) |

- 11/12/05 Sorry but I'm new to this and I couldn't find the K500i so I put it in the most similar one. How do I get it moved? Thanks. |
