Advantages: High Quality Screen, 2mp Camera,Bluetooth,MP3 Player
Disadvantages: Slightly Fiddly User Interface, Screen crashes now and again
I Bought my K750i through the Orange network in July 2005 and it is only now that some of the functions are becoming useful! When you first take the phone out of the box it feels nice and has a solid build quality which has survived a few drops, and when you turn the phone on it looks very impressive with a 262k resolution screen and a quality feel to the buttons.
Call quality is the first thing i noticed with voices being crisp and loud and the speaker phone option a godsend especially if your busy doing things at the samme time as talking. Battery life is good with 3-4 days of talktime and up to 2 weeks on standby. less if you use the MP3 and Bluetooth a lot though. You can customise the screensavers and ringtones and there is a photo and video editor though these are complicated to use and seem to be there just to add to the specification. I am a design engineer and use systems at work which are far more complex but much easier!!
Camera wise it comes with a high quality 2 megapixel camera with autofocus which i took my holiday photos with and they print 6x4 size very well indeed, in fact better than my supposedly better quality digital camera! Ignore the digital zoom claim though because it just decreases picture and video quality.
The video quality is rather good too with you being able to fit an hours worth of video's on to the 64 MB memory stick pro duo card which is upgradeable, as well as also having 30+ MB of phone memory onboard, plenty enough for such a small phone.
One gripe is that it records in 3GP format, but it is quite difficult to find a decent 3GP reader for your computer to watch the files on your computer, the supplied CD software is not the most user friendly or the easiest to use.
The video player can also play back MPEG4 format video 3GP format video
The media functions are good with Bluetooth being a favourite and you can fit around 13 128kpbs MP3 tracks on the supplied memory card,a web browser and emai.
Overall the phone is a high quality piece of kit with some very usefull and(in my opinion) some not so usefull functions, but this hasn't put me off Sony Ericsson in the future and is one of the best phones in terms of call quality i have owned.
Summary: High call quality,bluetooth,picture/video quality from the camera, battery life size and weight.
