Advantages: Very good camera, Nearly indestructable
Disadvantages: Nowhere for headphones, keeps turning itself off
OVERVIEW:
The K750i is well built and full of features. It may not be the best phone around now, but when it first came it is was very good. That said if you are looking for a fairly cheap phone, with plenty of good features this is the phone for you.
FEATURES:
The phone itself is fairly small with dimensions of 100x46x20.5 mm and a weight of 99g. Its not the lightest phone in the world but is a lot smaller than some of the new 3G phone being released.
Its best feature is the 2MP camera situated on the back of the phone. When the phone was released this was the best quality phone camera around. I have seen other pictures taken on different phones with a 2MP camera and the quality on this phone is miles better. The picture is always sharp and clear. It has an auto focus so it is never blurry. The camera is also protected by a slide cover, which stops little specs or dirt getting onto the lens.
The screen is OK in size. It isn’t tiny but it could be bigger. The brightness and colour however are good. The specifications are 262,144 TFT, 176x220 pixel.
The phone has a memory card slot (memory stick pro duo) and an internal memory of 34MB. The memory card slot makes storing pictures, MP3 files and videos really easy as you can store it all on the memory card. You can have as much space on the phone as you want.
It has all of the things you would expect a phone to have; MP3 player, video player, Bluetooth, speakerphone, IR port, radio, alarm clock, calendar, notes section, email support, java games, MMS messaging and WAP.
One problem that I found was with the radio. The radio itself works absolutely fine, the problem comes with that it only works if you have the headphones provided with the phone plugged in. Without the headphones you can’t listen to the radio even on speaker.
Another problem is there is nowhere for alternative headphones to be plugged in. This would have been nice, as the headphones they give you are rather big and not of very good quality, they never stayed in my ears for long.
BUILD:
The build of this phone is amazing. It is nearly indestructible! I have dropped my phone down 3 flights of stairs, on a concrete floor and in a puddle. After all of this the phone till works it only has a few minor scratches on it.
PROBLEM:
I have got a major problem with this phone. I have had it for nearly 2 years now and it keeps turning itself off at random times. This could be because of the various accidents I have had with it, but if it isn’t it’s a major fault. I use my phone as an alarm clock and sometimes it turns itself off in the middle of the night meaning no alarm!
CONCLUSIONS:
This is a very well made phone, and is a very good cheaper alternative to all the new phones out there. Other than the turning off problem I have had no problems at all in nearly 2 years. Great phone.
Summary: A good phone with loads of features packed in.
