Advantages: Great photos, mp3 player, excellent display and not bad at making calls either

Disadvantages: None

This is a cracking little phone!

Although I now have an iPhone, I've had a number of these over the years and, when the choice of a more 'up to date' phone came along each year, I took the Sony Ericsson k750i.

The phone itself is not physically the smallest you will ever use but it is not big either at 4.6 cm by 10 cm by 2 cm. It is a sturdy, candy bar shaped phone that can withstand the knocks of everyday life. Also, there's a cover over the lens of the 2 mega pixel camera - which protects it when you just chuck it in your pocket and makes buying a separate cover unnecessary.

The camera on this phone is really good. Combined with a proper bright flash, you can take really good pictures on it - much better than any other phone that I have used. There is about 30 megs of memory on board and you can upgrade it easily with a cheap Sony Memory Stick Duo (and it quite often comes with one in the box - although that can depend on who you buy it from - one retailer that I got a k750i from chucked in a 1 gigabyte card!).

The phone itself is also excellent for making calls (!) with great sound and reception.

It can also double as an mp3 and video player - with sound coming out of the on board speaker really well or also through the supplied headphones. The headphones can also be used as an FM radio aerial and the display is lovely and bright.

In addition, it can handle WAP web browsing and has an on board infra-red connector - which can come in handy for transmitting data.

As I've said, I have had more than one of these before in the past and I still have two as back-up phones just in case. I would also buy a new one in the future. They are how mobiles should be made.

Summary: If in doubt, this is a sound choice!
