Advantages: Easy to use and good battery life

Disadvantages: Camera isn't great for inside piccies

Despite working for probably the biggest mobile communications company in the world, I still have to foot the bill for my own mobile phone (they provide me with FOC Line Rental etc). Due to this I don't tend to go for the latest handsets but usually just the ones that won't cost me anything when I upgrade. My last few handsets have been Sony Ericsson and the K770i was FOC on my contract so of course an instant positive!

I got my nice sparkly new phone out of the box, put my Sim card in and instantly had a problem of it entering in random numbers unless it was locked. It was physically impossible to write a text that made any sense as for each 2 letters you wrote, it would add in an extra 10 random ones! So back to the shop (which is luckily onsite at work) and it was instantly swapped for another.

The phone in my opinion is a great size, the screen is large (about half the size of the phone) with a clear display showing crisp colours. The buttons are fairly big and easy to press without fear of clicking others (though I don't have supersize thumbs!) Navigating through the menu is quick and simple with an easy to understand system.

The battery life has been great, I use it a lot for calling and despite being on the phone for up to 4 hours a day, it can easily last 2-3 days. I'm a bit disappointed in the camera, being 3.2mp I hoped it would take much better pictures than it does. Outside pictures are better than inside but the object and camera must be completely still otherwise it seems to just come out blurry. Saying this, I don't really tend to use it for taking pictures.

I tend to only use the phone for calling, texting and some internet usage (Facebook, BBC weather) and for these functions, it performs perfectly. I'm due to upgrade next month, if there aren't any decent FOC handsets available then I'll be happy to stick with this one for a while longer!

Summary: Great if you just want a phone to use as a phone (as apposed to digital camera and mp3 player!)
