Advantages: Simple userface, fundamental features, attractive appearance

Disadvantages: Lack of durability

I bought this phone around 18 months ago with an 18 month contract from 3 mobile. It was the first purple phone which I had seen on the market & it intrigued me to consider this phone as an option for my new contract.

Its simple interface and stylish appearance is very appealing, along with its array of stunning visual screensavers and wallpapers, ensure that it is a moderately good phone for your average mobile user.

It has all of the fundamental features such as SMS, MMS and a 3.2 megapixel camera (for those of you who are techno-phobes, the picture quality is very clear) which is accompanied by several effects and settings which you can apply to get the most out of your pictures.

My only criticism is its lack of durability. I understand that many users of this phone have not experienced this problem, and I believe that my problems with the phone have resulted from dropping it at least once, but in the past several phones (which have been dropped) have not failed in their usage.

At first, I noticed that the number 7 button was that sensitive that you did not need to push it down to use it, but rather just touch it. Shortly after, the right menu button and internet button did the same - this was especially annoying as it is below the left menu button, which is frequently used.

Despite this obvious flaw to my purchase, I would still praise this phone for general usage. I am aware that you can get better phones for music, better phones for pictures and better phones for data usage. However, for somebody who has little experience with mobile phones, this phone is ideal.

It is simple to use, easy to hold and generally user-friendly. Unlike many Sony Ericsson phones, it lacks the toggle navigation system, using instead buttons which are less likely to break.

Summary: Overall a good all-rounder phone
