Advantages: Excellent camera
Disadvantages: It's huge, small keypad, unreliable due to joystick
Well its been about two and a half years that I've had this phone for and until a couple of months ago I had never experienced any problems with it.
When I brought the phone from my local 02 shop, I went home feeling very happy as it was a very popular phones that fulfilled all my needs. It's 3.2 megapixel camera was what drew me to this particular phone back then. Its ability to capture the sharpest images with the bonus of flash and red eye reduction made it even better, so good that i sold my digital camera on ebay shortly after.
The phone has several other features such as:
Music Player
3G
Bluetooth
Radio
Internet Access
Java Games
Although the phone sounds great at the moment, there are its flaws. Firstly the quality of the radio is poor, no matter where I tried to listen it would be too unclear to listen too.
The keypad is also another flaw, the buttons are so close together that someone with large fingers would have difficulties using this phone. The phone itself is also rather large and I now call my phone 'the brick' due to its size and makes a huge buldge in your trouser pockets. On the other hand however you will know straight away if your phone has slipped at your pocket by mistake.
The biggest flaw by far is also common in other sony ericsson handsets and I would have thought they would of address the problem by now. The joystick doesn't work for me anymore. When I unlock my phone, the joystick automatically selects options without me holding it down, which has resulted in sending loads of blank texts, very frustrating!
Overall I will give this phone a 7/10 as the features on the phone are fairly good but the durability of it is quite poor. I would recommend that you choose Samsung and Nokia phones over Sony Ericsson.
Thank you for taking your time reading this review, please comment on it and I will return the favour.
Summary: I've had a better experience with Samsung and Nokia
