Advantages: Loads of great features, beautiful screen, very hard to break, reliable, easy to use
Disadvantages: Slightly on the heavy side, no light
Where do I start describing this brilliant phone?
I bought the K800 after my K750 was dropped and broken beyond repair. As the K800 was a Sony Ericsson (which I've always had faultless experiences with) and £70 with Orange I decided to buy it.
Now three months has passed and I don't have a single regret. I thought I would miss my old phone but I haven't because this one is so much better!
First the basics:
The phone has a large screen and nice soft keys. This makes it easy to text and call. The large screen is very useful, in particular for those with visual impairments. The colour is beautiful and displays crisp text and images.
I have found the K800 able to hold unlimited text messages! I'm not sure it does, but I've had over 500 in my inbox/sent box and still able to send and receive more! It also has unlimited storage for contacts. Brilliant!
Other handy features are: Notepad, stopwatch/timer, alarm, calculator, able to top up without ringing 450! etc...
Now for the fancy bits, why I was drawn to the phone:
The 3MP camera is outstanding. It comes with Xenon flash which gives true colour images, and saves you having to use an annoying little light in previous models. (Having said that though, the light was always handy in the dark - the K800 has no light.)
The music player is just as good, if not better than the much more expensive walkman range. The phone itself has an average memory but take M2 cards which are very cheap. The walkman is easy to navigate and can be listened to while doing other things on the phone
Video calling is easy as there is a dual camera (on the front and the back) and sound is brilliant.
Altogether this is a fantastic phone and I'd highly recommend it to all.
Summary: Go to the shop, test the phone out and you are sure to come back a few notes lighter!
