Advantages: Easy to use, great camera
Disadvantages: Lens cover opens too easily, too easy to get onto the web in your pocket
The K810i has a nice range of features, a great 3.2 megapixel camera with cybershot technology, video calling, and the nice ability to create your own videos with the help of VideoDJ.
I had to have mine repaired in the beginning, as the speaker was really rattly, but it was fixed all under warranty so that's fine.
They have improved the phone quite a bit from the previous K800i, on the old phone the lens cover would slip open in your pocket all the time, whereas this one is more recessed so that doesn't happen quite so often, though it's still an issue, and my lens does get quite dirty because of this. Also the little joystick used to get clogged up, whereas this one has been OK so far. That said it's slowly starting to go that way as well, and it'll need cleaning with compressed air. The camera button is also a little bit tricky to use, and you often end up having to press quite hard, resulting in a shaky picture, though you do get used to it.
Using the K810i is a nice straight forward affair, you can access your recent calls, phone book and messaging with just one button press. The only downside is the Web button, which takes the place of the old green call button. I often find myself on the internet without meaning to be! Another mild annoyance is whenever you hang up after a call, the phone ends up going into the menu from pressing the end call button. Not a problem, but just slightly annoying when you just want to lock the keys and put it away.
It has a useful calender and a good music playing features, though like most phones the external speaker isn't great for it. Another nice feature is the number buttons. They're completely seperate from each other, so those of us with big fingers can easily and accurately dial numbers.
All in all, not a bad phone, though I probably wouldn't want another one until they've sorted out those little niggles.
Summary: A nice phone to use, features are OK, though I probably wouldn't get another one.
