Sony Ericsson T303
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I have recently bought one of these phones for my better half. His old phone was in no way past its sell by date, however his job is outdoors and very physical so it means his phones dont usually last very long!
Anyway, I bought this phone from the Carphone Warehouse for around £40 pre-pay and to be honest its a great little phone for that kind of money.
The phone itself is a stylish silver colour and fairly small, allthough it is quite chunky. The screen is a good size and all the buttons are hidden behind the screen on a panel which can be slid down for use.
The Good Points
~~~~~~~~~~~
Well for a start it is a very sturdy phone and definitely suits anyone who is usually hard wearing on phones! It is small and easy on the eye. It has an ok camera, not top of the range but it takes a decent enough picture. The sound quality is good and ringtones sound good. My other half has transfered files from the pc to his phone via blutooth as ringtones and they sound great. The phone does not seem to drop many calls, his old one was a terror for that! and it does pretty much everything that you want a phone to do. The menu is also quite easy to navigate.
And the bad points
~~~~~~~~~~~~
I have already mentioned it's size which I see as both a good point and a bad point... If the phone was mine it would probably get lost in the black hole that is my handbag!! However, for a man its not too bad, pocket sized! Also the keys are a tad too small even for my fingers so as you can imagine I get some pretty hard to understand texts from himself as his big fingers hit the wrong keys.... Apart from that I cannot really say that there have been any major problems with it.
The Verdict
~~~~~~~
I personally think this is a lovely little phone. Apart from the few minor things mentioned above it has some pretty good features. My hubby seems to like the phone and overall, it is so sturdy that I think it is going to have a longer life than previous phones.
This phone will not be to everyones taste but if you are looking for a sturdy phone which has all the normal features than this is one you should consider. I do recommend a case for it however and crystal clear hard cases are available online for about £2.
Summary: A nice little phone

- 17/02/09 Some good information and experience here but perhaps you could add a bit more about how well/badly this works as a phone. |
