Advantages: Feels substantial, easy to text with, good call quality, doesn't break when you drop it
Disadvantages: Quite heavy, charging is sometimes a pain, not the best for processing power
The phone itself is very chunky and to be honest, looks very brick like. I feel the designers could have put more effort in with the style and overall look. However, the phone does stand up well either upside-down or normally. This is good if you want to utilise the timer feature on the camera.
Now; the good points. Feels solid - This is something that's important to me as an individual, but this might not settle well with other buyers. Nice keypad - Big and easy to text quickly from. Packed with features - Lots of stuff here, from Bluetooth remote control, to the Code Memo feature (Lets you store passwords and PIN numbers securely), to the basic alarm and calculator. Camera - The camera is nice and produces good results.
The bad points. Really quite heavy - It's quite a handful and if you like having light pockets, this isn't the phone for you. Visual appearance - Let's face it, it looks like a brick. Charging - I've found that trying to connect the charger to it is a pain, because the connectors oxidise and you need to wiggle the charging lead around a bit to get it to work. Quite slow - If you're viewing your pictures, and you have a lot of them, the phone slows down quite a lot.
Overall the phone is very reliable and has good battery life. The graphics are average, but the screen really is quite small. The call quality is good and it's easy to text with. I'd recommend it to first time buyers, because the phone is quite easy to understand (after a week or so) and is very durable. I'm afraid I don't know much about the average price, as I've had this phone for quite a while, and the prices would have changed a lot since it was bought for me.
Summary: Good for first time buyers

- 06/08/08 A good overall review. However what about the clarity of the graphics? Surely this must be one of the aspects of the phone consumers are looking for. Since you're an experienced owner of this phone it would also be of use to put an average price in for this handset. |
