Advantages: Practially everything. Superb MP3 player, camera, video, easy texting and calling.

Disadvantages: No Bluetooth.

The Sony Ericsson W200i is definitly the phone for you if you are looking for a cheap, high quality mobile that does most things. The main reason I brought it was because it was cheap and I had carelessly dropped my previous, expensive handset into the water trough at the stables and because it was a week after Christmas, my purse was still reeling. It cost me £39.99 from Argos and is one of the best budget buys I have ever made.

The design is in my opinion, excellent. The screen is very large and easy to read from. The buttons are relatvily well sized and flat, making texting very easy. The central scroller button is well placed and very easy to use. The manoverbility of it enables the user to shortcut to various different functions on the phone. For example, left goes to the text messages. The orange Sony Ericsson walkman button in located on the top left hand side of the phone and enables to user to go straight to the walkman.

Another reason why I love this phone is because you can choose to access the whole phone and utilize all of its features (Texting, phone calls etc) or simply use the MP3 player.

The quality of the the pictures obtained on the camera are not superb but then this phone does not promise that with its 640x480 resolution. However, they are perfect for the amount of money that the phone costs. The video function on the phone is also average. Both photos and videos are easily transferred to your computer via the USB cable provided with the W200i. Photo editing software is also provided.

Music is also very easy to put onto this little phone. Simply install the Disc2Phone software, connect the phone to the computer via the USB cable and the rest is self explainitory! The quality of the MP3 is fantastic for the amount of money that this phone is selling for. The sound is not tinny and the volume etc are very easily controlled. Erasing songs is also incrediblly simple too. However, to maximise the music capacity of this phone, a memory card is useful but they are very cheap and readily avaliable so that is not too much of a problem (I managed to salvage mine from my now water-logged one!). An FM radio is another brilliant feature of the W200i and it has all of the same excellent quality and ease of use that the MP3 player has; simply connect the headphones and you are ready to listen!

The text messaging facility is easy to use however, I still find the predictive text too time-consuming after 6 months! However, my sister has sent texts with it before and managed it perfectly with predictive text on so it is probably just me! The quality of the phonecalls are great too and the speaker is loud enough for me with only 3 or 4 bars up. The W200i also keeps great signal strength too making sending text messages and recieving and making calls easier and clearer. Providing you don't use the MP3 player too much, the battery has a brilliant life-span, easily lasting me 4 days before I have to recharge.

Any pictures that you have taken can be used as wallpapers and screensavers and music tracks stored on the phone can be used as ringtones too, thus allowing further personalisation. There is a wide variety of relativly good ringtones too.

The only downsides that I have experienced with this phone is the fact that it does not have Bluetooth and the Infared on it is quite poor. The screen resolution is not the best either. However, all of the major plus points that this little phone has going for it strongly outweigh these points in my opinion!

Overall, the W200i is a fantastic phone and I believe it is one of the best purchases I have made in a long time! I couldn't have asked for anything better for under £40! I would recommend it to anyone. =)

Summary: A fantastic little phone . It is compact and packed with excellent features.

A really nicely written review (that has a few typos, but nothing too serious - like you wrote relatvily and it should be relatively). The only problem I have with this review is you don't tell us much about how this works as a phone.
