I bought this sony Ericcson w300i from my local Orange shop for a price of £120.It was meant to cost £130 but because I handed in my old orange phone for recyling , I got a £10 discount which I thought was pretty good and I was helping the enviroment.

* Appearance *
The w300i is black with bits of silver on it. Because my phone is and Orange one the orange symbol is on the front along with a little orange symbol. It's a flip phone. There is a screen on the outside of the phone where you can see the time and date , your battery bar and signal bar and it also shows up with an envelope if you have a message. 'Sony Ericsson' is written above the screen.

*Price *
When it first come out this phone cost £130 - that was just over a year ago now.So I expect it can be bought at a cheaper price now.

*Features *
This phone has many features :

*Camera / video *
The camera on this phone is ok but I have seen better.There are effects which you can apply to your photos , such as black and white and negative. I like the black and white effect because it looks good.The phone also comes with a lead that you can connect to your computer.I think this is good because you can send the pictures to your computer off your phone and then print them off.One thing I like about having a camera on your phone is the fact that if your out and about and want to take a picture of something but don't have a normal camera , then you can use your phone.You can also choose what sized picture you want - small ( 160 x 120 ) , medium (320 x 240 ) and large (640 x 480 )

The video is clear and good to use if again you've forgotten your digital camera.The video length is quite long as wel which is good , because it means you can film something for quite a while.Although I like this feature , when playing a video back the sound isn't that clear as it would be on a normal digital camera which is a shame.
* music *

I'm not sure how many tracks this phone will store , but I currently have 18 tracks on my phone and I think it will take a few more.
You can also watch music videos on your phone , they're good but not that clear. The sound of the music on the phone is really clear , just like if you were listening to your cd player - so that's an adavantage.You can also play the radio on this phone which is good.You just have to put in a special cable with a little ariel which attaches to your earphones.
*Entertainment *

There is an entertainment section which has features such as :
orange plus - you can contact orange from here and get information etc.

Games - This phone comes with three games ( Neopets , puzzle slider and quadro pop ) Quadro Pop is my favourite.You can download more games from the orange website.
video Dj - with this you can add pictures and text to it (I'm not quite sure what the point of this is )

Picture Dj - This is where you can add things such as effects to pictures you have taken and have stored on your phone.This is a nice feature.
you can record a sound under the entertainment section and can also take a demo tour. There is a remote control here as well.

*Messages *
You can store many messages on your phone.At one point I had approx. 200 which I thought was good - but it does slow down the speed you recieve messages if you have to many , therefore I delete my messages when I get to a certain amount such as 50.

*Internet *
You can recieve the internet on your phone.I never go on this , because it's quite expensive .It costs approx £1.50 - and that's just for each time you use the internet. I can use the internet on my computer 24/7 just for £15 a month. On the internet you can download games , music , ringtones ,images and search the internet. It costs approx. £1.50 (I may be wrong but that's what I think it is )

*Call History*
Here's where you can see the times and dates and call length of all the people that have called you can also your missed calls and people you have called.

* Organiser *
This phone has an alarm clock which is really handy .One thing which is good (but it really annoys me at 6 am ) is the fact that if you don't switch it off the first time it rings , it continues to ring every few minutes.

There is a calender where you can put in when you need to be reminded of things such as birthdays or appointments - this is handy.The phone rings if it's that day.
There is a calculator on this phone which is really handy , especially if your in a shop and need to know how much the items you want cost.

On this phone there is also a timer and stopwatch.
* Phonebook *

You can store many numbers on your phone book which is good.You can also click on the name in the phone book then click on more to go straight to 'send message' straight to that person for example.
*Settings *

Here , you can choose what ringtone you want for example.You can also turn your blue tooth and infared on and off here .
*Bluetooth / Infared *

These features are great because if your friend has something such as a song on their phone and you want it , to save time they can send you it , as long as you both have your bluetooth/ infared switched on.It's also free which is an advantage.

* Conclusion *

I'm very happy with this phone because of it's many features.I think this phone is great for nearly every one because it has something for everyone , music , games , the internet etc. One age group I would not reccommend it for it the elderly as they may have trouble using this phone because it is quite high tech and they may prefer a phone which just calls people rather than have games and the internet on it.
Other than that I give this phone a 10/10
