Sony Ericsson has W series phones specially dominated for music lovers. W here indicates that this is a walkman phone and walkman word is slightly old and most popular for music lovers as music devices from Sony.

Let's have a look on new walkman series phone from Sony Ericsson, W302. Phone is completely dominated for budget music phone and it is beautifully designed with attractive slim and light body. The most attractive feature of this phone is its 10.5mm thick design. Display size is something different than usual size and it is 176x220 pixels. We know that maximum available games and JAVA applications for mobile phones are available in popular 240 x 320 pixel size. So here we have slightly different display screen than usual.

The next considerable point is its memory size. Sony Ericsson walkman series phones have good internal memory and they also support external card slot. So here is a 20 MB shared memory for JAVA applications, contacts, Messages etc. The good point of memory size is its pre-included 512MB card for enjoying favorite music.

For me, 512 MB card is more enough as I keep only my favorite collection and this is not more than 500 MB. But some peoples may have large collection in their favorite list so they can put some large capacity card also.
Phone is completely dominated for budget music lovers and there is a good quality of sound with included earphone. Phone has inbuilt handsfree also but it doesn't support stereo sound in built in handsfree so we have to listen best quality sound with earphone only. The quality of sound is excellent with mega bass setting in equalizer.

FM radio is become compulsory in almost all phones and specially in music phones. So here also we have good quality FM phone with stereo and RDS support.

For connectivity purpose we have almost all medium level features like GPRS, EDGE, Bluetooth and USB.
Camera is not so special as it is an average with 2 MP. Picture quality is not so good but it is only for filling the requirement.
The phone is special for two reasons, one is its beautiful slim and attractive design and other one is its good sound quality. So over all this phone is good for budget music lovers and also has adequate features. S a phone is has good battery life for calling purpose with almost 5 hours, and as a music player it provide similar back-up but it will reduce in video playback by 50%.
