Advantages: High Music Quality, Good Graphics, Good Price

Disadvantages: Small Camera, Cumbersome Wires.

Okay, so with starting college and all that I finally decided it was time to buy a new mobile phone after 6 months without one.

My last model was a Sony Ericsson so I decided that would be a good place to look.

I had a budget of £80, so after exploring Argos catalogues and various websites I settled on the W350i on T-Mobile.

The main things that attracted me to the phone were the look of it and the impressive specifications. The free 500MB memory card you get with it is great as well, allowing you to fill up your phone with your favourite music the second you get home.

The W350i is a very lightweight and slim phone so it is pretty easy to carry round all day without any additional burden.

However the phone is not without its critics and understandably so, the 1.3 megapixel camera is of fairly poor quality and really not worth using unless you don't have any better alternative.

The music playback is really good though, with some of the best sound quality around at this price (£80). The initial memory card is only 500MB but can be expanded up to 1GB/2GB/4GB for a further cost. The type of memory card the phone uses is Memory Stick MicroTM (M2TM) which I believe are available from SanDisk or Sony. With the initial memory card (500MB) you can fit roughly 75 songs on it, which is adequate for an average day.

The in-built radio is of good quality as well, the cord you have to use as an aerial is pretty cumbersome however, which can be irritating when walking around.

If you don't bother with any memory card you'll find yourself cut back to a 14MB space allocation which is pretty average around this price range.

Internet access is pretty good as long as you're in an open space. As soon as you step inside a building you'll find it hard to get a connection.

One thing I really like on the W350i is its screen size; it's a large screen and has some really impressive graphics. The official size is 176x220 pixels. It's really clear and has great visibility and once you turn the brightness up to full it really excels.

Standby time is great as well, you can listen to music every day and do everything you do with a normal phone and still manage a good 3 days between charges.

So all in all, I'm very impressed with the W350i and would without a doubt recommend it to you all if you're on a fairly tight budget and looking for a very good phone.

Thanks for reading
