Sony Ericsson W395
Advantages: small and light
Disadvantages: not many features
I bought this phone when my beloved Sony Ericsson W580i bit the dust. The W580i is the more advanced, older version of this phone which is strange because you would think that a newer version would be better, more advanced...you'd be wrong.
I would say that roughly 60% of the features are missing off this new model, its so basic, I bet my pet rabbit could use it (and get as bored as I do with it..) The games are naff, the ringtones are primitive and you cant view emoticons or animations on a message. Half the applications are missing and I personally miss the pedometer feature and fitness app. You cant edit photos like with the W580i, or make video stories linking photos with music.
I got the phone in a blind panic, a little research on the net before hand then BANG i bought it. The second I turned it on I sensed something was awry..somthing not quite right with it..it was...a simpleton phone.
Dont get me wrong Im no evil genius who loves gadgets I just like things to be how I expect them to be. The Sony Ericsson website and GSM arena made the W395 out to be a better-sister phone of my beloved W580i and of course it wasnt and of course when i took it back to the shop they wouldnt accept it because i had been opened.
Admittably me and the phone are getting on fine nowadays. The keys have snapped through the plastic - and the camera gets more rubbish by the day - but I can call and text and thats all thats important. I think. Its very reliable though, and it is sleek and light but beware of the battery it can drop quite quickly unexpectedly.
I think its pefect for a kiddie or teenager because it has Guitar Hero loaded on it. Either that or a mid-life-crisis age person who wants the simple life but with things to impress peers with like a camera and mp3.
Summary: Unsuitable for people looking to replace the W580i - its nowhere near as good.
