Advantages: No more than any other Sony.
Disadvantages: Design flaw
The Sony Ericsson W580i is a really smart looking phone. It has the usual features of a sony ericsson, easy to navigate, internet access, and bluetooth.
It has a 2megapixel camera/video camera, expandable memory, an MP3 player and Radio.
It's very impressive, but unfortunately for the W580i it is no more impressive that any other Sony Ericsson phone.
It has the usual extras, such as a calender, calculator, notes sections, but it does lack the light function that other Sonys have, which really is inconvenient, especially when you're use to having one.
The camera is ok, and has some good frames, and funtions, such as the panoramic shoot mode, which is pretty cool, but you can't zoom in unless you're in video mode, which sometimes makes the camera useless to my needs.
The major flaw with this phone is that there is a design floor, where the buttons basically split in half. I've only had the phone for two months and four of the buttons have broken already. I can only imagine the state they'll be in in 18 months time when my contract ends. Fortunately I can exchange it (though only for the same model) so as soon as the guarantee runs out I'll have no phone again, as they're all the same.
I definately would not reccomend this phone. There are plenty of other phones out there that are just the same, if not better, that won't break on you.
Summary: Buy a different sony model.
