When the Sony Ericsson W580i first came out it bosted some brilliant features. And in my opinion, Sony Ericssons have always been good phones.
I bought a W580i when they first came out on pas as you go. At the time it cost £170. It is a slim slide mobile phone

Some of the main features include

* 2 mega pixel camera
* MP3 player which can store upto 470 songs
* Bluetooth
* Built in FM radio
* Track ID
* Voice dialing
* Handsfree speakerphone

The best feature has got to be the track ID. You hold the phone up to any song or music and sample it for about 10 seconds and it will tell you the title and artist for free. You can also download the track at a cost.

It is an easy phone to use and the menu is easy to navigate. On each side of the phone is a strip of lights that light up when you open the phone and will go through a series of colours when the phone rings or a text comes through. It also has a good battery life

However, I would not recommend this phone. I used mine for about 6 months before the 'select' key decided not to work. Then the lights on the left hand side stoped working. There was cracks straight down the middle of each key within 2 months and the number on the key pad wore of quickly.
But what finally stopped me using the phone was when it decided it didnt want to turn on, and still wont turn on.

This isn't an issolated case. My friend bought a brand new one and 4 months later the screen wouldn't work. She spent quite abit of money getting it fixed then the same happened to her, it wouldn't turn on.

Iv just listed the phone on ebay a spare or repairs and after doing a quick search on ebay, saw that the same faults keep happening to the W580i.
This has put me off buying any Sony Ericsson phone again.
