I am sorry to have to go against the 4 star rating this phone has recieved and tell you of my experiences with this phone. I got this phone about a year and a half ago, and thought it looked great! i loved the lights and the mp3 player and the whole style of the phone. But thats about as far as it got I'm afraid. ... This is a cool-looking slide phone with funky lighting effects, that can be altered to suit your mood. It's not the greatest Walkman phone ever (with limited memory capacity), unless a memory card is purchased (which is what I did, allowing me to keep more music and photos) and doesn't have an exceptional camera (only 2MP) , but it's a good ... I absolutely adored this phone when I bought it about a year and a half ago. I bought it mostly for the walkman feature and the fact that you could shake the phone and it shuffled the songs. However, the quality deteriorated extremely quickly and the shake response stopped working. I had a lot of trouble with the keys cracking and falling off. ... Read the complete review

I Bought this phone when it first came out on contract and to begin with absoulutly loved it. It had such great features such as 'shake control' which is where with a flick of your wrist you can change the song. But after a couple of months i had constomer services in speed dial i was ringing them that much. First my bottoms split one by one. Then ... Read the complete review

Ive owned this phone for about 2 years now and at first I had no problems with it. Feature wise its a fabulous phone, but as a teenager the phone inevitably was used a lot and after a few months many of the number buttons cracked. Many of my friends own the phone as well and they had the same problem! After a few months the sound went very quiet ... Read the complete review

*Look* I paid extra to purchase this phone in Orange/white because I think it looks cool. On all of the colour schemes (e.g. Urban grey/blue, Red/white) the contrast between the colours of the buttons and phone is very attractive. The screen is large in ratio to the size of the phone when closed which looks good. *Touch* The ... Read the complete review

This phone has had some bad press, mainly problems with the buttons cracking. However, this problem has now been resolved by Sony Ericsson. I myself own the pink version of the W580i. It is a great phone with functions galore. It has the mp3 player, 2 megapixel camera, video recording, fm radio, Pedometer (A great function), bluetooth, games, ... Read the complete review

I've had this phone for over 2 years now, and have had a very good experience with it. I have the 'white' version and even now, it still looks slick and stylish. It is described as a walkman phone, however, I feel that internal memory could be improved upon. Although, there is space for a memory card, it seems slightly unreasonable for you to be ... Sony Ericsson W580i The jazzy lights and walkman features on the Sony Ericsson W580i have had teenagers across Britain blasting music out of this fantasic new phone. I have had this for 18 months on fresh's pay as you go network. It has been an excellent phone right up until the year mark when things started going wrong. Sony's excellent walkman music player started to not read my memory stick, then the rest of the phone ignored it too. The 2MP camera thought another application was open so it would not open, ... I only change my phone every 3 years or so (unlike many of my friends who get a new phone every time it rains). So when i do change it, i better make sure that i get a good one. Around the time my last phone died i was in the process of saving up for an MP3 player, so i an attempt to kill 2 birds with 1 stone, i decided to plump for a Sony ... Read the complete review

I have now had this phone for over 12 months. The good news is that it's still working despite the drops it has had. I had the keypad replaced by Sony Ericsson recently as some of the keys had snapped in half making it slightly difficult to use. I had to send it away freepost and got it back very quickly with some goodies too. The pedometer on the ... Read the complete review

I bought this phone as a pay as you go a few months ago and I absolutely love it! The model I have is the W580i Pink. The colour is a nice pale pink so not too overpowering, however when you slide the phone up it reveals a very bright pink surrounding the camera. As indicated this is a slide phone. It has a simple slide closed to lock ... Read the complete review

I have had my Sony Ericsson W580i for around 1 and a half years now, after receiving it as a gift from my parents two Christmases ago.
