Advantages: Music player (if you have a pc)

Disadvantages: Software not mac compatible, keypad locking not great.

The Sony Ericsson W595 is definitely not the best phone that I have ever had. As expected of a modern phone, it does all the functions needed but it falls short on the features that are meant to make it stand out from the crowd. The predictive text function is adequate. The volume of ring is ok and the alarm clock works a treat. However, the preloaded ring tones are laughable (it doesn't have a standard 'ring ring' nor any other tasteful ring tone) and the phone only locks when slid shut on the right screen so some of my money has been wasted on unintentional 'pocket internet access'. Furthermore the software provided (needed to load music onto walkman function) is not mac compatible. This renders the walkman function useless for anyone who is clever enough to have bought a mac over a pc. It also means that photos taken on the 3.2 megapixel camera are not retrievable.

Summary: Won't get sony ericsson again.
