DON'T BOTHER GETTING THIS PHONE!!!

If your looking at this review now thinking oooh this phone looks good, then seriously turn around and don't bother. Looking at the ratings its received I am VERY surprised...and I think those who have written them must ahve only just got the phone as my experience is NOT good...!

My husband got this phone around 8 months ago now on contract with Orange, he loves Sony Ericssons as he listens to music on it alot, why he doesn't just get an MP3 player I don't know...but anyway! He got this phone as it was recommended to him by the woman on the end of the phone, and so when it came he was pleased with it...for a week.

The phones specifications:

Size 103.0 x 48.0 x 15.0 mm
4.1 x 1.9 x 0.6 inches

Weight 103.0 g
3.6 oz

Screen 262,144-colour TFT
240x320 pixel

Memory Memory Stick MicroTM (M2TM) support
40 MB Phone Memory

Now the phone itself is good, it has a standard sony interface which has been he same for years meaning if your used to Sonys you'll not have any issues...! The battery is excellent and unlike some phones doesn't need charging every night, and even when used for texting constantly doesn't run out quickly!! Also the charger and accessories are interchangable between most sony ericsson models so you don't have to keep buying new accessories.

The camera is ok, but is fiddly when switching to different modes...but it does have different modes and pics can be saved to the computer via USB lead. The internet is also better and quicker than earlier models.

But thats where the good things end...! My hubby had his phone for a week before the problems started.

Firstly, the SIM card was broken in the phone, he's had it for a week and it just stopped working, the SIM was rejected by the phone and it had to be sent off and he went a week without a phone while he waited for a new one.

THEN, a couple fo weeks later, the phone seized up, everything stopped working on it, and the screen went black- he took it back to the shop and it was sent away for fixing, again he had a week without a phone as they had no spare phones for him. When he got the phone back eventually, he had around 2 months of a good phone, until once again the phone started doing the same thing, freezing, and the only way to fix it was to take off the battery and reset it. Thsi was happening everyday...! So once again he took back the phone and again it went off for fixing...telling us it was a software issue...!

Again no phone for him until his was fixed...and 3 weeks later it came back.

BUT thats not the end of it....!!!!! A few months on and the phone is once again freezing all the time whenever he uses it, and the only thing which will sort it is by taking it apart lol!!!

This is the thrid time its happened, and its getting stupid now!!! A good phone, but this problem seems to be unfixable!!!!
