Advantages: Phone, Camera, Walkman

Disadvantages: Nothing really

Had this phone since last October (2005).
Must say this is perfect, blows practically every other phone out the water.

Firstly, this is a lot more than a phone.

It has all the usual phone features (including call recording which can be fun lol)
It has a 2Mp Camera, which although pretty standard now, is still damn good. Beats a Nokia hands down as i have had my fair share of those.
ALSO on a side note......The Software on this phone is perfect, as i noticed on my old Nokia 6230 that some phones are hastily rushed out and basically they barely work. This works at everything it is supposed to, which is a lot, a lot more than i've discovered yet lol.

The major plus point of this Phone is the Walkman feature.
It is easily upgradeable with a Sony Memory Stick Pro Duo up to 2Gb. (which can be picked up for £50-60 in the right places now)
The headphones suck, but they are easily changed and any headphones can plug in to the attached phone cord/antennae.

It incorporates an mp3 player into a phone, essentially freeing up your pockets from clutter. No more need for an iPod since you can have 2Gb on your phone for a lot cheaper than a similar iPod Nano.
With no real sound difference. The iPod aint exaclty renowned for that anyway, its as good as its battery life.

The software on the CD may not work, but this is easily downloaded from the website.
Its only really needed for the file transferring.

As well as the mp3 player it also has a very good quality Radio.
Referring back to the Nokia, the W800i Radio beats it hands down. Can find stations simply in seconds if you ever get bored of all your mp3's.
In this respect it also beats quite a few mp3 players. ie apple which has none.

The Radio and sound quality, i personally believe is on a par with my girlfriends Creative mp3 player, which is superb.

The Camera is easily opened in your pocket, but this doenst really cause any problems as it wont interfere with calls or messages.
It's very good quality, and with a large capacity memory card can handle a large size video recording easily.

Similarly it can also play videos, so with the proper converting software you can put whatever you want on your phone.
Always good to get funny clips off the internet and take them to bluetooth to your friends.

Lastly but worth a mention is the battery life.
This phone literally lasts forever.
I can leave the charger alone for a week or over, with battery charge still left. Even after hour long phone calls to the girlfriend some nights.
Videos will run it down faster, but calls and the likes it goes on forever.
I cant even put into hours or days how long it lasts.
It can go over a week i know that, and that is good enough for me.

Edit...

Just to also let you know, the current maximum of 2Gb Sony MS is being upped with new cards holding 4Gb and 8Gb coming out in the summer.
Although a bit expensive most likely, they will mean it may possibly be up to an 8Gb mp3 player.

Thanks
Its very easy to text once you get used to using the * button for spaces instead of the 0 like in Nokia's.
Menu's are very easy.
Just click Menu, and theres a list 9 options, which everything fits into. ie Messaging, Calls, Entertainment (games etc), Connectivity (Bluetooth, IR).

Sounds like a phone with a lot to offer. How easy is it to text ? and the menus - are they simple for people like me that are not that technically expert ?
