Advantages: Ease of use and value for money
Disadvantages: The toggle wears out, dust behind the screen
I’ve had this phone well over a year now and I feel that it’s done everything a phone should do and a bit more. However I do feel a little cheated, as my younger daughter has the Sony 750i which is an older phone and with the same memory card will do almost, as far as I’m aware the same as mine, the only difference is mine is a trendy orange colour. But I do believe this is down to the phone companies that may have old parts and stock and make the public believe they are getting a better phone.
However the phone is a modern and classic design and has worked for Sony since the 750i came out some years ago. The ease of use is very good with all areas accessed via the buttons or the toggle. Once in the menu area you can access any part of the phones functions. You can adjust your settings, recieve and send messages, play games, access your camera etc. I feel the phone does as much as any other phone for a fraction of the price for everyday use. The camera is two mega pixel and takes reasonable pictures and videos, however although the camera has a shutter I do have to keep wiping the dust off the lens. This phone came with 512 mb memory card which at this stage have not been able to fill up. It manages to store videos, music and pictures. The phone also has a radio which is accessed by putting the hand phones that come with the phone and act as the antenna for the phone. The walkman side of the phone is good and again is easy to use. I personally don't feel it has a great sound quality but is ok when on the head phones. Likewise the games are ok but are not very challenging.
Overall I feel the phone would suit almost anyone young or old depending on what you want from your phone. It is a good little phone. Its weight is ok; I’ve dropped a few times with no problems and has never let me down....yet. However I would recommend a cover for the phone as it suffers badly from dust behind the screen and on a bright day it’s hard to see the screen. The mirror on the back for self pictures has almost worn away. I would say battery life is ok again depending on usage. It has a expandable memory, camera has zoom also with a very bright light for night shots. Compared to phones of today, I think if you're not too bothered about having the latest phone then it’s up there with the latest models.
Summary: Good phone for a fraction of the cost

Its essentially a k750i with a new cover and upgraded software, the hardware is the same.
Great phone though, and lasted me well. |
