Advantages: Great music player and very easy to use

Disadvantages: The battery cover became very loose on mine and I lost it

The w800i was one of the first walkman phones from Sony Ericsson if I can remember and I jumped at the chance to get it a few years ago and it is one of the most reliable phones I have ever had while giving me the features that I wanted.

I bought the phone mainly for the walkman function as I didn't want to have to carry round an mp3 player as well as a phone and it has served me well as it is so simple to use. You just plug your phone into the computer (I recommend getting a higher amount of external memory) and transfer over the songs you want onto your memory stick or on the internal memory but you won't fit much on there. After that you just fire up the walkman function on the mobile by pressing the walkman key in the top centre of the keypad and it takes you straight to the orange menu screen where you can select artists, genre, songs, playlists, etc. What I liked most about this was the playlists as I didn't find there to be a limit to how many songs you can add to each playlist as I had well over a hundred on one and it was so much easier than creating two playlists like the LG Viewty.

The phone also has a 2 megapixel camera for taking pictures and video as well as Bluetooth and the usual features you would find. It also include an FM radio though which was a nice addition I found but the only downside was the chunky adapter you had to plug into the bottom of the phone so that you can listen on your headphones and to provide signal for the radio which got quite annoying to carry a chunky headphone set around in your pocket.

The phone part of the mobile always worked and never let me down, sending messages and calling is simple and easy to get to know if you don't know much about mobiles. The interface and presentation was quite good too as everything of course is in colour and you can choose different themes for the phone which I liked as I downloaded some custom ones people had made on the internet which defiantly put the personal touch on my mobile.

This phone has been absolutely great and I was reluctant to come across a replacement in the form of an LG Viewty at a bargain price so I would defiantly recommend this handset.
