Sony Ericsson W800i
Advantages: Great music, decent media features, love white and orange combo!
Disadvantages: The joystick wears out if you use it excessively. Screen could have been slightly bigger.
I used this phone for 2 years and it was probably the best phone I owned so far!!
Screen is 2.3 inches but this phone debuted before the whole media explosion with 5-6 inch screens. The resolution is not too high but this is a music phone and it delivers on that front.
Has about 256 mb in built and comes with a 512mb card (Sony pro duo memory). Obviously Sony proprietary so you can still upgrade the card upto 8gb. I upgraded to 4gb.
Sony Ericsson has been great when it comes to the call quality. The calls are clear and crisp. Music auto pauses when a call comes in and immediately resumes afterwards.
Since this is a music phone I will deal with music separately. It does support photos, it has a camera and video recorder (2 megapixel) which are pretty good. Video only plays in 3gp but with this small screen this is not really a phone that you would want to put videos on.
This is a Walkman phone and it truly lives upto that name. The music quality is absolutely great. I would argue most phones don't have such great quality music. The music player menu is just like an mp3 player. My absolute favorite feature is the play button on the side. Just press it and the song you last had on immediately starts. The headphones supplied are great (don't hear that too often) with the noise blocking in ear buds. Music sounds great in speaker phone too!
Summary: A great music phone. I recommend this to people that put music above all else.
