Advantages: Music phone, 2MP Camera

Disadvantages: Not much difference from W800i

SONY has the knack of using similar designs for their phones, and it's clearly illustrated here, with W810i, being very smiliar to W800i, K750i and even W700i. The difference I can see, is the thickness (where W810i is slightly thinner) and the design of the soft keys and the navigational pad. W810i is the first Walkman handset to use the round design of the actual walkman logo. The closest handset to W810i of course is the W800i, so I will try to compare both handsets.

First off, W810i, is thinner by 1mm and the screen is slightly larger with 0.1inch increase. It also supports EDGE. Everything else? Is identical.

I'm afraid to say, that's all Sony did. The previous W800i, had a lot of features too, and W810i did not add any more significant ones to it. 2MP camera (very good one I may add), Bluetooth, Infrared, FM Radio, loudspeakers, expandable memory, and the great walkman music player. Having used W800i, I can safely say the handset will not let you down, and it seems that with such minimal changes, W810i is not very much different from W800i. It is a reliable, useful and the features are enough, especially 2MP isn't a sloppy, average one, like those of Nokia.

Summary: An alternative to W800i, not much of an improved handset
