Advantages: Reliable, reliable, reliable
I currently own this phone and have had it almost 4 years, after receiving it from my sister when she wanted to get a new phone contract. This phone has been so reliable and I laugh when my friends comment how old my phone is, but then watch them as they turn their smart phones off and on again as it froze/crashed. Throughout all the time I have owned this I can not state any problems I have had with it, its never crashed and can take quite a beating.
My phone has survived countless drops, one being a tumble down the stairs another when I forget it was in my jeans and when turning them inside to be washed it fell onto the kitchen laminate. Yet it still works as if it was new, the only damage I can see is minor wear in the number prints, as my number 8 looks like a 3. But that does not effect how it works, I have no problem texting and calling with it, and all the functions work fine.
While there are many phones out there I would choose this one, well I have I still own it, but the fact that it is reliable and in my opinion more user friendly. When I am texting I like to know I have pressed the button and with this phone you can hear little clicks of the buttons, but when using friends iphone's etc I hate the fact that it is all smooth and I end up pressing multiple buttons when I did not want to.
I also love the short cuts on this phone, being able to assign four functions to different direction arrows saves me so much time. While many phones have calendars I like the simplistic one used in this phone and it aids me greatly in warning me where I have to be for my next uni lecture or meeting.
While there are loads of positives there is only one negative I this phone has, and that is its age. I do not really like the idea of an old phone but it is reliable and useful to me and sort of see a retro feel to it. However if you do not mind getting stick off friends and colleagues then this phone would do you proud, and can be cheap to pick up now.
