Advantages: Large memory, good camera

Disadvantages: Old design now

I've had my W850i for about a yea and a half and it's still going strong! And not only does it still work perfectly, I actually still love it too. I've previously had 2 Sony Ericsson's so I was used to the way they work anyway but even if you aren't familiar with them you'll find that the W850i is incredibly easy to use. The main menu screen is fool proof really - picture menu which takes you in to messages, pictures, games, settings, etc and easy to navigate menus from there.

The camera is only a 2 megapixel which isn't fantastic but takes surprisingly good pictures (especially in strong light). I always find myself taking pictures of our kids as it's usually closer to hand than the proper camera and the quality of the camera pics are always surprisingly good and worthy of keeping/having printed. It also takes video which, again is really handy.

The phone's memory is quite large at 64mb so you can store quite a lot of data on here - pictures, music, etc. And since the phone is intended as a Walkman phone, you've probably bought it as that and so you'll appreciate the large memory! There is also a button on the screen to take you straight to your music too.

The phone is a slider phone so, not only does it look good, it's really practical as most of the buttons are hidden away and the keys automatically lock when the phone is slid shut. This also makes it very compact so easy to keep in even a small bag or pocket.

Using the phone as it's original intention i.e. to make calls is nice and easy too. No fiddling around to unlock the keys as you can just slide it open and that's it unlocked. Then simply dial your number and off you go! Answering calls is equally as simple - just slide the phone open to answer - easy!

This phone has been around for a while now and although it's still very popular it's age does mean that you're sure to find some good deals on it. I'll be keeping mine for a while yet as it really is the best phone I've had in ages!

Summary: Great phone with loads of memory!

Very nicely written and with some good information here, but I also think that you should tell us a bit more about how this works as a phone.
