This phone is what I would class as 'nothing special'. After having it for 12 months I can't wait for a change.
Although is great for very basic phone users and very asthetically pleasing and slim line I wouldn't recommend for a heavy phone user. Often had trouble with the software, resulting in the phone restarting itself. Also seemed to be heat sensitive: when moved from a cold surface to the warmth of my face it would restart. Not good for answering phone calls!

** The Phone ** Sony Ericsson market the W890i as "as thin as a CD case and dressed up for grand openings", I'm not quite sure what the last bit means, maybe that it is a classy looking phone, but the first bit is definitely true. I picked this phone as my last one was a Sony Ericsson and I had no problems with it at all, and ... Read the complete review

This was my previous Sony Ericsson before my new phone. To me it was a standard phone no oomph about it, nothing special. Was good size, lightweight and easy to use. Good Points: Good camera, great if you like music as it is a walkman phone Bad Point: I couldnt get picture call to work at all, ... Read the complete review

A slightly better looking version replacement to the W880i. Although suffers from software problems with the orange software. Will work for a period of time then just start to restarting itself all the time for no reason. The camera was exceptionally poor as my old W810i could take better quality pictures. Walkman software was old and outdated ... Read the complete review

The w890i phone is the first Sony Ericsson mobile I have used. The positives with this phone is that it is a great looking phone, very slim and lightweight. The buttons are small but easy to use and the camera takes very good photos. The walkman 3.0 Music Player I haven't actually used a I still like to use my MP3 for listening to music. ... I loved this phone, its small compact easy to use and with the memory card has loads of space for music and completely replaced my mp3 player. It has loads of litle gadgets on the walkman side of it and i really like the sense me app on it. the rest of it is just a simple phone very easy to get you head arround and the camera is good quality ... My contract with this phone has recently run out, however the W890i proved a very handy phone for the 12 months I had it, showing very few problems. Initially, the phone was of excellent use and the slim metal casing gave it a modern and sleek look along with a pair of standard headphones and together they proved very durable, however ... Yesterday saw me changing my phone contract. This has made me look at my old phone fondly wondering if my new shiny phone will be as trusted as my old friend has been. Rewind twelve months. This saw me on the phone to my current provider O2 upgrading my contract to a new phone. I was one of the lucky ones a year ago to secure a 12 month ... Read the complete review

Ive had the Sony Ericsson W890i for about 6 months now and it has been quite reliable. I'll start with the good points; firstly the phone is very slimline and light so i can fit it in my pocket, the looks are lush and modern. It has quite a lot of features i have come to expect of Sony Ericsson Walkman phones, like the very good ... Read the complete review

I have had this phone for about 2 months and I can't say a bad word about it at all. Its been the most reliable phone I've ever had. As it is a Walkman phone I very often put different music on it and listen to it on the bus. The sound quality is excellent for such a small device. The earphones work great with enough bass and enough treble making ... Read the complete review

GOOD THINGS: this phone is small and light weight. the fell of it is nice and smooth and i have been using this phone for a few months not. even when dropped it still seems to work and i have even smashed the camera. the quality was quite good but the cracked camera makes it fussy. the walkman feauture was great because it saves you buying an ... I got this phone as a free upgrade; it more or less does the job but I would have been very disappointed if I'd paid the 150+ upwards it costs to buy. Essentially this phone is about flashy bells and whistles and when it comes to making a simple call or text it doesn't pass muster. After owning it for just a few months the green ... My 18month contract with O2 was due for renewal in February 2009, so I started looking round for a replacement for my Sony Ericsson K810i. My main criteria was that the phone should be free as part of my contract renewal, since I don't use it that much, but still have the main feature I wanted in a phone a good camera. Because of this I ... Read the complete review

well, ive had this mobile phone for about 6 months now and i think that it is great! However i sometimes find that it turns its self on and of, i dont no why but many of my friends with this phone tend to have the same problem. However the camera on it is great, and really good quality. Also you can store loads of things on it, there is loads of ... Read the complete review

I actually love this phone. It does everything I need and want in a phone. It has bluetooth, a good quality camera, a music player and allows me to text and phone. I can also download hundreds of themes for this phone to personalise it. The phone is light in weight and just like all sony ericssons it is easy to use. The battery life is fantastic and lasts for about 3 days. It fits quite nicely into bags, pockets, purses and pretty much anywhere.

Sony Ericsson is the new powerhouse when it comes to mobile phones it seems to be. There has certainly been an obliteration of the monopoly that Nokia once had and I think this is largely due to Sony Ericsson rising to the plate and bringing out some really ingenuitive mobile phones. Having been on contract for around 4 years I have gone through ... Read the complete review

My previous phone was a Samsung. Not such a bad brand, however, I've always preferred the look and functionality of the Sony Ericsson range. I've had the phone for two weeks and I must say I am quite pleased with it. Initial thoughts and reason for choosing this phone, was simply because it was light and thin, meaning you could put this in your ... Read the complete review

I have had this phone for 4 months now. When it first arrived i was so impressed, it is slick and small, but not too small that you couldn't press the buttons properly (a bug pet hate of mine!). I've had this phone now for a couple of weeks, and my my my I am so impressed! My previous phone was the W810i Walkman phone and I'd had that for 18 months. It withstood all sorts of stamina tests, including my daughter sitting on it and peeing all over it (and it still works!!!), so of course I knew I wanted to stick with the Sony Ericsson ... Sony Ericsson W890i Walkman Phone After years of being on Pay as you go (due to huge phone bills!) I decided in March of this year to give contract another go, especially as O2 had some great offers on the online tariffs.
