Advantages: big screen, easy to use, good functions
Disadvantages: flat pad, games
I decided to go on contract with Orange and chose plan Dolphin 35 for £35 per month. The Nokia I had before was good but I didnt like the preditive texting on the phone, so before the Nokia I had a sony ericcson k700i and did like the phone so when I could have either choose from a Sony or Nokia decided to go with the sony W910i.
48 hours later after ordering on line my phone came I was like a little kid opening my present on christmas day.
Inside was a stylish, slim W910i, manual, charger, usb cable, headphones and usb dongle which you put your memory card in.
This mobile has the following applications.
2 mega pixels camers
2.5 x digital zoom
3g
bluetooth
vibrating alert
walkman
video messaging
e mail
radio
mp3 ringtones
shake control
video calling
games
This phone is a slide phone with a large 40x320 resolution screen. The sliding mechanism is easy to use with one hand. As well as the normal keypad there are buttons on the side of the phone that are for the use of volume, camera and power. The mobile has a memory slot which a memory card is supplied with the phone. I like the fact when you put the slide down onto the phone it locks so there is no chance of dialling a number by mistake.
The walkman on the phone is easy, the menu you can choose from which artist to what song you want to listen to. There is a shake control on the phone which you press a button on the top then shake and it will go to the next track.
I find this phone easy to use with a large screen which is great when writing texts. The menu function on the phone is a doddle to use. The battery life is good I charge mine every 4 days and I use mine alot so to me that is pretty good. I have seen reviews that the camera is not that good but I took a picture and it looked ok to me but then I want a phone where I can text, phone and listen to music.
As I said before my biggest beef with mobiles is if I said a word that is not in the preditive texting it does not store it. I found my nokia 6280 did not store the words and also had usa dictionary. Now I am back with sony it stores my words instantly what a bless to me.
Overall very pleased with phone only gripe is the flat number pad
and the games they are demos so you have to pay to have the games.
Summary: nice phone that is easy for amateur to pro

- 15/02/08 Nicely written but I think this could have been better if you had talked more about how this phone works as a phone. |
