Advantages: the look of the phone gives of the most professional look and the battery life is outstanding.
Disadvantages: Too much like a iphone. Not an appropriate phone for all types of people due to it's nature.
Personal Opinion and/or experience: I've been looking around and the cost of this phone is around £330 -£400 and for the amount of money you'll probably looking for a good one, so i'm going to try and tell you what i make of this phone. I currently do a graphic design course and i tried out for 2 weeks each a number of different electronical products for review. So i will basically explain my findings with you guys :)
It's a phone that reminds me a lot of the Iphone, however it doesnt have the apple apps store as its a android phone. The whole aesthetics (looks) to the phone makes it seem it's trying to be a iphone with it's optional colours of white or black and it's touch screen. I was too scared to drop it as it has very sleek, shiny look and a full glass screen. However it's supposed to be scratch resistant and that did prove well for that whole two weeks compared to other phones i did try out which did scratch during the two weeks. It's has the professional body and charisma of a phone that top end business men/women would be carrying around. When handling the phone for two weeks, i believed that competing phones were much better, as this one was trying to copy them. Personally i believe this phone should be for top end people such as business men and women and not for people who just want a fun phone because this phone is more for professional usage than fun. The phones quality to hear music and when on the phone to someone is clear and crisp, very easy to access text messages and to ring. Texting is okay, nothing amazing.
The screen is a wonderful 720 x 1280 pixels 4.3 inches in size and it's multi touch up to 10 fingers, however, i only used one finger at one time. The display is a beautiful LED-backlit LCD, capacitive touchscreen, 16M colors which means the quality and picture is perfect. The whole phone itself is 128 x 64 x 10.6 mm and weighs 114g which makes it perfect to fit into pockets and also not making it too heavy. The phone has the obvious alert settings of vibrations and ringtones with loudspeaker and headphone jack, which usually comes with a phone in this present day. There is not card slot to add extra memory to the phone however comes with a decent 32gb storage which can hold thousands of songs, videos ,photos and others such as texts and games. It has bluetooth, wifi and usb cables all features allow the sharing of information, videos, photos, songs and lots more. The camera is an amazing 12mp with 4000x3000 pixels, autofocus, LED flash and has the features of Geo-tagging, touch focus, face and smile detection, 3D sweep panorama, image stabilization! - It's just like a professional camera and the video player is just like a video recorder with its Yes, 1080p@30fps, continuous autofocus, video light, video stabilizer. The phone doesnt stop at one camera though it has a secondary camera on the front with a 1.3mp camera, this does bring the product down in quality as it gives off poor quality.
Features: The phone is a android phone, one of the most trusted OS and has a dual core CPU. You can message almost anyone with the SMS (threaded view), MMS, Email, IM, Push Email facilities which not all phones have! The phone has web browsers of adobe which is a positive as a lot more websites and features can be opened with this. And HTML5. Some more of it's features are
- MicroSIM card support only
- TV launcher
- SNS integration
- HDMI port
- Active noise cancellation with dedicated mic
- MP4/H.263/H.264/WMV player
- MP3/eAAC+/WMA/WAV player
- TrackID music recognition
- Google Search, Maps, Gmail,
YouTube, Calendar, Google Talk
- Document viewer
- Voice memo/dial/commands
- Predictive text input
The ease of use was okay, i've mucked around with a lot of other phones in the past so i have got to grips with the ins and outs of many phones so this one wasnt that hard to pick up on. I'd recommend you should try before you buy.
The battery life is very good, i found that i could easily have the phone on for 2 days without it dying. The phone on standby can last up to 19 days without dying and around 7 - 10 hours because of talktime or general usage, however the battery is amazing.
Not much more i can really say about this phone. It's a masterpiece to say the least with all it's features, but if you're looking more of a professional phone, this would win anyday against competing phones, but if you want to play games and the likes this phone is limited in chose with this and other phones maybe more appropriate
Summary: I'd recommend this to friends who know technology quite well and that are in need of professionalism
