Advantages: It does exactly what it's made for
Disadvantages: The camera quality isn't great and the battery doesn't last long
Since mobiles first came out I have had always been swopping networks on pay as you go and getting new phones. When I switched from Vodafone to Orange I was taking a large step because Orange was not as large as Vodafone at the time.
Orange gave me 200 minutes of calls to any phone and 500 text messages per month all for £30 inc. vat and this wonderful handset.
I should also add that this phone came for free with the contact which was 18 months on Orange UK.
The change from Nokia to Sony is quite a step because Sony was way ahead of the game and their company reputation served them well.
This phone is simple and easy to use, it includes a camera for taking photos and movies, but not the leads to put the pictures onto your computer.
The phonebook is huge, the memory is massive, you can play your own mp3 as ringtones or using the earpiece listen to radio or mp3. WAP is easy to access but was slow on my network, I have to admit that I never ever used more than 200 text messages a month. I don't know how people could use all 500.
A great bit of technical work but the drawbacks is the cursor at the top of the pad, it has a tendency to stop working after 6 months and becomes impossible to use, but it can be fixed.
The screen once scratched is a nightmare but again can be replaced, the battery lasts about 2 days for someone like me who uses it about 20 times a day. The camera quality isn't great but for the price its amazing.
Currently my phone after 13 month is in a bad way but it works fine, it has more dents than Evil Knievil and it survived being dropped in the bath.
Hope this helps anyone.
Summary: Not a brick, but it can take some punishment.
