Advantages: Screen Quality, Sound Quality, Features

Disadvantages: Navigation/Software, Slow Key Response, Ringtones

There are some great features on this phone. Bluetooth works flawlessly, as does the infrared. The sound quality is excellent, though not the clearest or loudest (that goes to latest Nokia phones). The screen is easily one of the brightest colour screens around. It can show great detail. The build quality is fantastic, and, i think, it looks good too.
Unfortunately, there are a few features on this phone that let it down.
The software navigation is, quite frankly, terrible. After using the phone for a couple of months i have become weary of the amount of buttons you need to press to do the most basic things.
Texting, for example, to send a text to someone in your phonebook takes 8 presses! You cannot exit your text, during writing one, to go to your phonebook to get a number! Some peoples numbers do not translate from the phonebook, so when they call or text you only get the number and not the name.
The software that decides the soft keys, shifts the "yes/no" responses from button to button (left button, right button), so you will find it difficult to reach a nice flowing operation.
The camera is poor indeed. Though If you like grainy pictures of your friends appearing as they call, you will be happy.
The supplied ringtones (T-Mobile) are almost all unuseable, owing to their embarassing choice of "copacabana" and "calypso" styles. Also ALL RINGTONES FADE UP. THIS FEATURE CANNOT BE SWITCHED OFF! There is an option to switch off increasing ring, but it makes little difference. As a result, i have had to call T-Mobile to extend my ringing time, as i missed so many calls whilst it faded up.
Accepting calls normally requires you to press the top left function key; the button underneath, and it is very close, cuts the call off.
The hysteria surronding this phone in magazines and internet review sites pushed me towards this upgrade though i am unhappy it will do until i find a new battery for old sony z5.
De
spite
me trying to disuade my friends from this phone, one of them upgraded to it, and i am happy to report that he returned it and called me to apologise for not listening.

Hello and welcome to Dooyoo!

This is a good first opinion! Sorry to hear about your phone disaster - a couple of my friends have tried to persuade me to upgrade to this but I told them no way!

Sounds like a poor phone. Try ebay for a battery for your old one. :o)
