Advantages: Stylish, Easy to use, Plenty of features

Disadvantages: Poor camera, Screen hard to see in bright sunlight

I?ve had this phone for over a year now and on the whole I?ve been happy with it. It did take me a while to get used to the menu structure because I?d been using Nokia phones for a couple of years previously. The menus are intuitive and similar to Nokia (and other manufacturers) making the overall operation of the phone quite straightforward. But if you are used to another phone manufacturer, you?re bound to press the wrong key from time to time to start with.

One of the main reasons for my purchasing the phone was its Bluetooth capabilities (a year ago when I bought the phone it was one of the only phones on the market with Bluetooth capabilities at under £50). I use Bluetooth to connect to my PDA and laptop and I have always found the T610?s Bluetooth functions to be reliable and straightforward.

The phone?s colour screen is a pretty good feature - it's large and clear but is sometimes difficult to view in direct sunlight. The size of the screen makes reading and writing text messages very easy. It also displays colour photographs well.

I use the phone?s WAP browser from time to time and the connection seems to be quite fast and reliable (although this partly depends on your network provider ? I?m T-Mobile). I also like the phone?s polyphonic capabilities. The battery life is satisfactory but it doesn?t seem to stay charged for as long as my old Nokias used to however it does charge quite quickly (under 3 hours for a full charge). The ?T9? predictive text feature is just as reliable and useable as the one I remember using with Nokias.

On the down side, the built-in camera is poor. The picture quality is very bad so I hardly ever use the camera. Also the phone has ?crashed? a couple of times ? it completely froze and the only way to get it working again was to remove the battery and put it in again. I have no idea why this happened so don?t know how to stop it from happening, but luckily this has only h
appened a couple of times and it didn?t do any long-term harm.

My boyfriend has this phone and I agree the camera's not really up to scratch! He finds it annoying as well when you go outside and it's light then you can't see the screen properly...
