Advantages: Some OK Applications

Disadvantages: Does not receive calls or texts, bad battery life

I would NOT recommend this phone to anyone. I had signed up to buy this phone months before it's release and got it two weeks before it went on sale in the shops. For the first few months I thought it was the best phone going and could not rate it enough. If anyone said the Iphone was better I would dismiss their claims, but essentially, the Iphone is better.

One friend of mine actually bought the phone after seeing mine and then two months later exchanged it for the new Blackberry because of how bad the phone is.

It has NO battery life, if you are going out for a day, do not expect your phone to still have battery when you get home. This was a common complaint from everyone I know who has the phone but it was something I didnt mind overlooking because of the quality I thought the phone had.

A mobile phone's main job is to send and receive calls and texts. This phone cannot even do this. If for some reason I have more than 3 or four texts in the space of about half an hour, the phone automatically decides to stop receiving or sending anything. To correct this problem you have to turn the phone off and on again. It's very annoying if you do not notice it has happened because when you do find out a few hours later you usually have lots of texts and missed calls. Quite bad if your on a night out and meeting people.

The applications although good are not actually as good as those on the Iphone. The Iphone has a year on the g1 so this is not surprising but when the phone was released, most people bought it because the applications were supposed to be better.

For the internet browser to work you must be in the perfect spot and if you move by an inch, the page stops loading, this is very annoying if you have to check something out.

I wouldn't recommend this phone to anyone and I would say get a blackberry or an Iphone, as I will be doing when my contract has run out.

Summary: Not a very good phone
