The Universal Dock is a great accessory for an iPod/iPhone brilliant for both travelling and syncing.
The dock comes with an Apple Remote and 10 dock adapters to fit all of Apple's current and previous products. It comes presented in an awesome box with little trays/shelves that hold each individual adapter, which is nice to keep so you don't lose or muddle them up. The adapters are also made out of a strong plastic and are quite durable meaning they should last as long as the dock does.
The remote is a great device and I would buy the dock just because it's included. It has music playback buttons and a menu button to control the iPod/iPhone in the dock over infrared. If you have a Macbook (Pro) you can also use the remote to launch Front Row and control all media playback on your computer. The batteries in the remote also last a long period of time (I haven't changed them at all so far)
The dock itself is quite weighted so it won't fall off the table and is nicely designed to fit your computer/music set up. Aside from the infrared port and the 30-pin dock connecter the dock also has a line out port so you can connect it to an external set of speakers. The dock is also gripped rubber at the bottom which makes it perfect for a desk.
Overall this is a really high quality dock and is definitely worth the price, it will be used numerous times and if friends/family come over with iPods you'll always be able to connect it to speakers/computer through the dock. It also prevents you from having to lay down your iPhone/iPod which will stop it from being scratched.
