After purchasing a cover for my iPad I also needed to protect the screen from daily wear and tear that causes those unsightly scratches! I decided to have a look at what Belkin had on offer because as my case was from them I knew I could count on their quality and also their price.

This screen protector which they christen the "Screen Overlay" cost me just 12 euro online and I do believe this was a bargain considering the cost of the device that is being protected. I know people say that the iPad itself is scratch resistant but having a two year old around the house messing with it, I still didn't trust this statement.

The protector itself can be awkward to apply to the iPad given the size of the thing and you will end up with bubbles but if you get the smoothing card which is included with this protector and press all of these bubbles out you will end up with a flawless screen. Make sure you clean the screen before applying the protector. They actually include a cleaning wipe with this but I used my own because I didn't think the quality was that great to be honest. Be careful that you line the Home Button correctly with the protector. You don't want to put it on and then realise that it's upside down. This actually happened to a friend of mine!

What I like about this is that once is has become worn and messy you can just replace it with a new one. You can't do this with the iPad screen itself obviously. Also there doesn't seem to be any difference in the product with the screen on top. The sensitivity of the touch screen works just as well.

I would highly recommend any iPad user to get this. It will not affect the functionality of the device and it will protect it in the long term.
