My sister gave me these earphone when she got her Blackberry as she didn't need them and m rubbish Apple ones had just broken. I was pleasantly surprised! I was expecting them to be poor quality as the came free with a phone that wasn't made with music in mind. It also had a microphone built in a little way down from the earphones which is useful if you have a Ipod touch and want to record things etc.
The earphones hang nicely in your ear. They bigger than the average earphone which I like as they fill my ear up more and keep more excess sound out which is excellent if you are in the car or train etc. Their sound is good and they can get quite loud which I love ! Their sound quality in general could be slightly better but they are free ! The sound is also good when you are on the phone. People never really notice that I am not using my phone the conventional way. The button on the microphone also pauses the song which is handy. They look quite good as well. The silver looking plastic on the outside looks very good and makes them stand out.
They are very lightweight and come with a clip so they could even be used for jogging or exercise or just for everyday use. Its always nice to be carrying less weight! The chord is quite long though so you might have to clip the excess into your pocket or it might get in the way !
The microphone works very well even when it is down by your chest so you can use it whilst doing housework and whilst driving. This is very useful as it means an in-expensive way to make and receive calls in your car without buying a special stand and adapters for your mobile.
Overall , a great add on to your phone. Great for music. Great for making and receiving calls where ever you are. They fit very well in your ear , unlike other brands (apple) and they feel well built and strong. They could be slightly better sound wise but they are free!
Until recently I was using a different Blackberry hands free kit but then I found this beauty in the box of my phone (when I was looking for some other info from the box). At first I had dismissed it because I thought it was a radio/headphone attachment and I don't really use my phone to listen to music as I use my ipod or the system in my car. When I realised it was a hands free kit though I thought it was awesome and I gave it a go.
This is a brilliant little hands free kit. The earphones sit neatly in your ears and are quite comfortable. They have little black rubber bits on them to make them more comfy but unfortunately, very early on in their usage, one of these has come off and is now a bit uncomfortable. They cut out a lot of background noise and I never struggle to hear what people say which is good when you are in the car and the car is being quite noisy.
There is a microphone a little way down the headphone wire which has a button on it and it is what you talk in to when on the phone. There is also a little shirt clip on the wire near to the mic so that you can clip it to yourself and nearer your mouth. Unfortunately this too fell off but I think that's because I was fiddling with it. It would probably go back on if I wanted it to but I don't have any problems when the mic just sits at about chest level.
The button is easy to use and it feels safe to use too while driving. You can use it with voice control but I haven't fully got the hang of this. It is easy to take calls though and to mute and hang up the phone.
As I've mentioned, the sound quality is pretty good. People never seem to complain even when I'm on the motorway etc. This is a really important feature in a hands free kit for me as it makes all the difference.
So although I mainly use it as a hands free kit in the car/while I'm busy shopping etc, the earphones can also be used for listening to music. Again the sound quality of this is good but the lack of the rubber piece means they aren't too comfortable for this. I could use any earphones with my blackberry I think though if I wanted to listen to music.
I got these free in the box with my phone but I see you can buy them from Amazon for £9.50. I think for this price there might be better hands free kits available but this one is good and the sound quality is fab.
I have no problem recommending these but look in your phone box as you might have overlooked them as I did!
One of my reason to buy a blackberry was because in Blackberry I could have all compiled. This means that I can do everything just with that one simple little smartphone. The very important condition the phone I own must have is that it can play a music. I depend on music. Whenever and wherever I go, I must listen to the musics. It is not a big deal for me to travel out of country alone as long as I have something to listen, like a music player. You may say that I should have prefered to buy mp3, mp4 or even an iPod to listen to, but I think it would be much more simple to have it in one gadget, so I wouldn't have to think hard of one gadget when I am using the other one. In blackberry, prosperously I can have all of them. It eases me to communicate and connect everytime as well as listen to the music everywhere and everytime I get bored.
For that reason, in my pocket or my bag, I never leave my blackberry alone, but with this little 'mate', fonerize skullhead earphones. They are just like a bestfriend that can't be set apart (I actually made them not to be :p). But seriously, everytime I forget to bring this earphone, I just spontaneously consider my Blackberry just somewhat useless. They just complete each other since listening to the musics in my Blackberry seems to be the important part of my days. In the class waiting for my lecturer, on the way back home, walking or everything, I will always make sure my Blackberry music player is on.
So far, this earphone never disappoint me. I got it in one package coming together with the phone. This earphone is tremendously light as described. It is elegant with its black colour which matches perfectly with my white phone. If you think you will have a trouble with its weight since it is so light, and you will not notice if it falls down somewhere when you use it while walking or jogging, don't worry because this earphone actually has a clip that can sticks to your collar, T-shirt, or your pocket so it will stay right there. The clip is substantively removable, so if you think it just doesn't fit your earphone whatsoever, you can remove it and just put it away. But if you think this clip will be so useful, use it, for sure. What I wrote just now are the pluses. Another plus that I can find from this earphone is the shape of it. It perfectly fits my ears and produce perfect sounds as well. Some earphone doesn't fit well so that I have to make it stayed as it should be everytime and it definitely bothers my comfort to listen to musics. In point of fact, some earphone I previoulsy had hurt my ear. I don't understand if this earphones had some elements that possibly hurt both my ears or what, but, yes it hurt. But using this earphone is so enjoyable that I could leave my earphone stayed there in the whole night while I am sleeping.
Now move to the negatives. According to me, the design of back side of the earphone is not a good idea. The alumunium parts which are shaped sharply, well personally, are just not good and ruin the whole design. In my opinion it would be whole lot better if it doesn't have such kind of shapes. Besides, just want to share my experience, the rubbers covering the earphones of mine are detached for the second times so I no longer have a chance to replace it with the new one since the first time I bought this blackberry, I only got one extra set of rubbers to cover the earphone. You have to take a very good care of it, it easily gets detached.
But over all, I really like this earphone. Not only because of its elegant design, but also its sound quality.
After misplacing the original set of headphones that comes with Blackberry phones, my girlfriend had the great idea to get me a pair of these for Christmas this year after seeing them online on Amazon.
The Skullhead Earphones for Blackberry are compatible with every phone in the range and retail for a very reasonable £9.99 although they can be gained cheaper if shopping around online. They are made by the established mobile phone accessory company fonerize who have a wide range of successful accessories available on for all makes of mobile.
The first thing that hits you when removing this from the box is how light they are. Part of the design brief on the back of the box mentions that they are lightweight and that much is true. It barely feels as if there is anything in the box and even if in the pocket you can easily be forgiven for thinking you have lost them as they virtually weight nothing!
It also comes with an adjustable clip which can be tied to jackets etc to control volume, skip songs and play audio which is standard in most similar devices and works well here.
The earphones themselves are small and solid with a curving design that I find fits easily into the ear and stays there well. I have often found with other brands that they don't sit well in the ear and they feel loose which makes me uncomfortable and constantly adjusting them to make sure they fit in! Not so with these, they are fantastically designed. The cord is a bit long I find at 2m and cant understand the need for such a long cord on a mobile phone head set. It means you have to have excess wire to place around in pockets etc and can prove fiddly
One down side is that the box states they have noise cancelling technology built in but its not even noticeable. I have top of the range headphones at home for my hifi and laptop and know what good noise cancellation is like and this doesn't do them.
However, all in all the Skullhead Earphones for Blackberry are a well designed, good product with a quality sound emanating from them which at the end of the day is what matters!
