I have the ant stick to use in conjunction with my Garmin forerunner 405.
This is a tiny "memory stick style" dongle thing that you set up using the garmin website and the most up to date downloads that they have available. You can use it with PCs but my understanding is that it is not yet compatible with MACs which leaves a lot of runners unable to download their results. According to the Garmin website, though, MAC compatibility is imminent!
I had difficulty (due to my lack of technical know how!) setting my ant stick up, but a quick call to their freephone customer service number had my ant stick up and running quickly - customer service second to none!
Now that it is all set up, my Garmin "talks" to it automatically when it is within a 3m range, so as soon as I collapse on the sofa after dragging my sorry ass around the block my efforts are downloaded through the ant stick and I can play with graphs, charts, paces, minutes and miles to my hearts content!
This makes the 405 more than just an expensive stopwatch - it makes it a real Gizmo!!!
Plugs into your computer's USB port
Automatically receives workout data when Foreunner 50 is within range, and stores it in Garmin Connect (web-based) or Garmin Training Center (software)
