OK - I am taking a bit of a gamble here, this could be the most boring reviews you have ever read. The only reason I am writing it will become apparent later on, if you stay long enough to find out that is.

I was well chuffed when a mate of mine got one of these, for one simple reason. And that reason was that it meant we could take the Mickey out of him all day long - and we did!

The sock my friend chose was a red Man United one, although the ones ion this review are actually orange, but you can get them in so many colours. His was made of a type of wool, but the Golla ones are manufactured from cotton. Some are made from Nylon too. They are officially a "Holster bag" for your mobile phone, but SOCK seems to sum them up a treat.

My poor unfortunate friend refused point blank to say how much of a bargain it was, but of course we said that if he was not paid more than a tenner to accept it, he had been done! I have looked them up and they cost about Five pounds!

Right, after we finished extracting the Michael, which took some considerable time I might add, we did allow him to try and convince us it was actually a good idea. We agreed to listen with an open mind, and not to interrupt or heckle him - WE LIED! Anyway, long story short, we eventually had to agree with him that in some circumstances, they were a good thing. Some examples follow -

When a mobile is dropped, the sock acts as a cushion.
If splashed, the sock absorbs the fluid.
The sock is avoided by any thief with a modicum of taste.
The sock can be made in any colours.
It can be "adorned" with any logo.
The phone is less likely to slip from your pocket.
One size fits all.
Can also double up as an ipod holder.

OK, the reasons I wrote this review are,
1/ I like a challenge.
2/ It reminds me of the banter from the old days.
3 Actually, in principle, the idea is basically sound, they are a good idea, in principle, forgetting the looks, or the hassle you will get if you use one. OK, don't bother them, I didn't either.

Summary: Good idea in principle, for some, perhaps, maybe. . .
