“ Brand: Incipio / Type: Screen Protector „
I recently upgraded my phone to a Samsung Galaxy SIII and I wanted to protect it as much as I could from getting damaged and scratched. I was looking at the accessories for my phone in my local store when I went in to upgrade and I noticed a screen display protector. I asked the staff member who was serving me about it and he said t's good to have to protect your screen from scratches and any other damage. I took one off the hanger and the man said he would throw it in for me. I thought seeing as he was throwing it in for free that it was probably wasn't really worth much anyway.
~ The Screen Protector ~
The Screen protector is made by Incipio which are a brand that I have never heard of before. It's a self-healing screen made specifically for the Samsung Galaxy SIII so I knew that this would fit perfectly on my phone. The protector protects the devices screen from nicks and surface damage including scratches without reducing the touch screen sensitivity. The self-healing screen protector is coated with a thin silicone film that refills the scratches in just a few seconds after they are made, to keep your screen looking as pristine as when you purchased your phone. As well as the screen protector auto-repairing after a scratch has been made it has easy application, High Clarity and doesn't leave residue on your phone.
The protector comes in a black cardboard envelope and contains the screen protector and Microfiber cleaning cloth. On the front of the packaging it states what phone the protector is for. On the back of the pack it gives you some information about the protector and instructions on how to apply it to your phone. I opened the packet and pulled out the contents. The cloth was in a clear bag to keep it clean from any dust and the screen protector was wrapped in clear plastic. There was also a small flexible piece of plastic which has Incipio on it; this is used when applying the screen protector.
~ Price/Availability ~
I have seen this available to buy on various websites when typing the name of the product into Google and it will cost approximately £19.99. You can also buy this on Amazon for about £9.99 which is a lot cheaper.
~ Applying the protector ~
The instructions on the back of the packet are very basic, so I had to do a bit of guess work when applying it on my phone. I clean the screen with the cloth ensuring that all fingerprints and any traces of dust had gone. On the screen protector you will notice 2 small tabs one which says front and the other which says back. Simple peel off the back and apply this to your phone. I did this slowly from the bottom of the phone and used the plastic card provided to ensure there were no air bubbles. This was a lot easier than what I thought. You then need to carefully peel of the top layer. It's best to do this slowly to ensure you don't pull the screen protector back off. I peeled this off with no problems at all.
~ Results ~
The screen protector is barely noticeable on my phone and the touch screen works the same as it does before I applied the screen protector to it. Since having the protector on my phone I haven't noticed any scratches or marks on the screen protector, apart from a little dust at times which can just be wiped away easily. I really feel as though this product does a fantastic job of protecting the screen. I know if I hadn't of got the screen protector I would probably have a few light scratches on my phone now, from being in my bag. The screen protector is definitely going to make the quality of my screen last a lot longer than it would without it. I give the product 5 out of 5 stars and highly recommend it to others if they have the Samsung Galaxy SIII.
