The device works, but not if you park in city centres (Navman T2 Traffic Module)

Disadvantages: The wiring stands out

The traffic module at first seems like a good idea.

However, there are significant problems with the logistics of fitting it to a car.

The actual device itself definitely does work and it's also good if you just want to get your sat nav traffic info sorted with a one off payment, as opposed to regular monthly subscriptions through your mobile phone service provider.

The essential problem is this: When I park my car in various towns, often late at night, I want to ensure there is no trace of the satnav in the car, and the wiring around the windscreen that this device requries makes the car stand out.

To ensure the car blends into the background you'd have to remove the wiring leading from the windscreen to the sat nav, and that would take far too much time... as a result, my traffic module remains unused. Perhaps I should have subscribed and used it through my phone.

Summary: A device that works, but security problems ensure this remains unused in my car
