Advantages: Ease of use
Disadvantages: None
What can I say about this product?
I had used a couple of more expensive bluetooth car kits which just didn't function as well as they should have done, or should that be, as well as I expected them too?
I, therefore, took a chance on buying the Nexxus Drivespeech PRO - which I had resisted as I was put-off by its apparent 'cheapness'.
How wrong could I be?
This is the best bluetooth car kit that I've ever used. I have charged it once and have been using it for about three months now and it hasn't been a problem.
The instruction booklet that comes with the device is a bit 'basic', however, it provides all the information that you need to be able to use the device.
I was able to pair my phone with the device very easily.
If your phone supports this feature, you are able to transfer your contacts to the device for ease of voice-recognition dialling - you are able to specify whether the phone number of your contact is their home, work or mobile number.
My phone doesn't allow me to transfer contacts by Bluetooth, however, I can still press one button on the device and that links through to the voice-recognition dialling on my handset.
When you first turn on the device, it makes a noise to signal that it is switched on and a voice tells you that the 'power is on', the same voice informs you when the device is connected to your phone by telling you that the 'phone is ready for use'.
If, for any reason, the connection between your phone and the device is 'broken', you can just press a button on the device and it will reconnect to your phone.
I have never had any problem with call quality, or had complaints from people that I'm talking to that they 'cannot hear me'.
When a call is received, the device will give you the name (if you have transferred your contacts to the device) or the number (if, like me, you cannot bluetooth your contacts to the device) of the caller so that you can either accept the call or reject it.
To answer a call you press a button, and, to end a call, you press the same button - you will get a voice prompt that says 'end call' when you have finished.
When you want to turn the device off, you press one button which, after pressing, you will hear the voice tell you that 'disconnect complete' (from your phone) and then, 'power off', to tell you that you've turned the device off.
If, like me you can be a bit forgetful, the device will automatically shut itself off after 10 minutes if there has been no connection to a mobile phone - thus saving on the power of the device.
The device will fit to most (I won't say 'all' as I'm not qualified to do so!) sun visors and is very streamline, so there won't be any issue of possibly hitting it with your head as you get in/out of your car.
Overall I'm very impressed with this device and am regretting that I had chosen two more expensive options before I took the 'chance' with it!
