Advantages: Keeps you within the law, completely handsfree from your phone
Disadvantages: Mounting can be a problem
Cant believe there hasnt been a review for this yet considering how many must ahve been sold!
Parrot are now the leading manufactureres regarding in car bluetooth solutions and its easy to see why. The kit was easy to install, however i do this for a living so if you dont have much technical knowledge it would be better paying somebody to do it. Once installed it is worth mentioning that the kits lights must be off when the ignition is off, if they are still on then it is installed incorrectly and will over time drain the battery and the kit will kepp freezing up.
The kit is very easy to use, simply pair your phone with it, this takes a few seconds, and then you are ready to go. The kit mutes the stereo and then the phone comes through your existing speakers which works impeccibly. Depending on what phone you have you may or may not be able to stream music and set up voice dialing. Mine allows both so i could press and hold the red button and say 'call home' and then it would dial home for me! it really is that simple.
The screen is a big advantage as you can be completely handsfree from you phone as your phonebook will synchronise with the kit. It is also worth noting that there needs to be a suitabel amount of space on the dashboard for this to be mounted, for some cars this kit may look out of place.
Before buying it is worth going onto www.parrot.biz to confirm whether your phone is compatable, and also with a lot of cars you will need a SOT lead, this will cost about 20pound from most audio outlets.

- 13/10/09 I agree - this is a great piece of kit. This is a fantastically easy to use item which not only works as a wireless for your phone but also you can hook up your mp3 player and skip through tracks on it. Although this seems like a relatively simple requirement it is the ease of use and the screen that separates this from other such tech out there and makes driving a lot safer. |

- 12/01/09 TheChocolateLady, I see your point but when the kits are almost identical, to the point that the only difference is that one includes a screen, how can a review say something comepltely different? the features are identical, and the work in the same way? |
