I'm not sure about you but when I pay a lot of money for something, I like to take care of it and look after it and that's why I have a screen protector for my iPhone. The HD anti-glare film set is described as a, "static cling adhesive film with matte finish which reduces glare, fingerprints and smudges.
I think this is something really important to have on your phone. I always have my phone with me and I will stuff it in my bag or in my back pocket and so it does go quite a few places where it will get scrathced. Plus, I let my kids play with it too so when I get it back from them it usually ends up with fingerprints, chocolate, yogurt on it etc so to have something protecting the screen from this is great.
The product is basically a bit of sticky plastic that goes over the front of the iPhone and sticks there until you decide to peel it off. The pack we bought contained 2 films as my husband has an iPhone too and he uses one on his as well. On the packaging it gives a number of bullet points about what this film actually does for your phone:
New HD film is compatible with retina display
Resists glare, fingerprints and smudges
Added protection from scratches, dirt and dust
Advanced static cling adhesion
No sticky residue if removed
The film was really easy to fit. It comes on a piece of plastic that you just pull it away from and then place it on your phone. There is a cut out when the round button is at the bottom of the phone and also three little cut outs at the top where the retina display is so you can tell which way the film is supposed to fit. The nice thing is it peels off easily if you don't get it right first time.
I have an app on my phone that is a Sat Nav app and so my phone works in the car as my navigation. When I use it like this, which is all the time practically as I have no idea of directions is important for me not to have glare in the car from the sunshine as this film really helps to cut that down so I can see the screen clearly and more importantly, know where I am going. This film has really helped with scratches too and my screen underneath really does look as good as new.
I would say that this film probably makes the screen a little bit less sensitive so when you have to push an icon or slide to activate the phone I find I need to press a bit harder and make sure that I am really making proper contact with the touch screen but as it still allows you to do all this then I don't think it's much of a hinderance.
All in all a good way to look after your phone. The film is available from Power Support, www.powersupportusa.com
